Children's Center Offerings for Kids and Families
Aitkin Children's Center is offering monthly activity totes for children ages 12 months to pre-kindergarten age for the winter months. Totes will include fingerplay ideas, projects (all supplies included), links to music and stories, and a free children's book. Call 927-7735 for a free tote or register online: The Aitkin Children's Center will be offering three 40 minute video conferencing sessions for parents of young children to meet and support one another. January 25 @ 8 pm-topic: Meet & Greet; February 22 @ 8 pm-topic: Healthy Bodies, guest speaker TBD; and March 29 @ 8 pm-topic: Fine and Gross Motor Development, guest speaker TBD. Call 927-7735 to register. A $25 Paulbeck's County Market Gift Card will be given away each session. No charge for these sessions. Winter Activities Important Information:

In compliance with Governor Tim Walz’s Executive Order 20-81, which requires Minnesoatans to wear a face covering in all public indoor spaces and indoor businesses starting July 25, 2020, face coverings will be required when inside any Aitkin Public School buildings, except for the exemptions listed in the order. Minnesota's Telephone ASsistance Plan (TAP) and the federal LIFELINE Program help make telephone service affordable to low-income consumers. For qualifying information and available discounts, see the full information here. SPORTS ELIGIBILITY PACKETS
for grades 7-12 are available in the high school office. These packets need to be filled out one time each year for students participating in sports and/or fine arts activities. Sports physicals are good for 3 years. Sports fees are $100 for grades 9-12 and $55 for grades 7-8 and can be paid in the office. Be sure to get your packet and fee in BEFORE the first day of practice! ![]() Kids Club (Formerly EXTRA!) is our before & after school programming that offers a variety of activities for children.
