District News and Information
Student Support: In light of recent events and tragedy that has struck ISD. 1, we will continue to offer additional counseling supports to students and staff at Aitkin High School throughout the week. Counseling support is also available to Rippleside students and staff. We at ISD 1 care about the well-being of our students and staff, please reach out to school administration if you have concerns. A list of resources for grieving students and families can be found here.
Vaccination Clinic Offered at High School
Aitkin County Public Health will be offering the Tdap, HPV, and Meningococcal vaccines to students aged 11-12 and 16 who are newly eligible for, or older students who may be past due for, these vaccinations. This opportunity will be held at Aitkin High School on Friday, January 28th.
Author Kevin Lovegren to Visit Rippleside
Kevin Lovegreen, author of the Lucky Luke Hunting Adventures, is coming to Rippleside! On Monday, February 28th, Kevin will be visiting some classrooms and staying for Family Fun Night. He will share some of his writing experiences and lead us in his fun Game Call Challenge. We hope you are able to come join us!
Dental Services Coming to Aitkin
Children's Dental Services will be offering dental services on January 26th and February 16th at Rippleside Elementary and February 2nd at Aitkin High School.

Students Design and Build Fishing Rod Holders
Mr. Rach’s is sharing a glimpse of his Trade Skills and Wood Tech Class! His students had an opportunity to create, design, and build their own 6-hole, Ice Fishing Rod Holder Project. Read more here

FCC Emergency Broadband Benefit
The Emergency Broadband Benefit is an FCC program to help families and households struggling to afford internet service during the COVID-19 pandemic. 2021-2022 Bus Riding Information
Please read the following information from the bus garage regarding bussing requests. All students need to fill out the bussing form every year.

Sports Eligibility Packet
for grades 7-12 are available in the high school office. These packets need to be filled out one time each year for students participating in sports and/or fine arts activities. Sports physicals are good for 3 years. Sports fees are $120 for grades 9-12 and $60 for grades 7-8 and can be paid in the office. Be sure to get your packet and fee in BEFORE the first day of practice!
