Welcome to Aitkin Public Schools
Our mission is to empower students to be lifelong learners and citizens by maximizing community, parent, and staff involvement while developing high expectations and achievement in a safe learning environment.
We provide great educational opportunities, including art, music and science specialists, for our elementary students, who also enjoy learning in our outdoor classroom and at our school forest. We are proud of our NutriMan Garden which has successfully brought fresh fruits and vegetables into our school, completing the farm-to-school chain.
The great opportunities continue at the high school level, where students have the opportunity to earn over 40 college credits before graduating from high school. We are one of few schools who maintain an agriculture program, which, along with our industrial technology department prepares students to leave high school with the skill set needed to be very successful in a trade.
Learning also happens outside of the classroom. Our students are offered a wide variety of extra-curricular activities, including arts, academics, and athletics.
We are proud of all the great things going on in the Aitkin Public Schools and it is an honor to serve students, staff and the community as superintendent. We are excited that you’re here, and we look forward to working with you to get your child started on the path of being lifelong learner! If you have questions, please call or e-mail me.
