2016 Homecoming Candidates
This year's Homecoming candidates are Sam Peterson, Lizzy Ryan, Taylor Crotty, Wyatt Kokesh, Holli Orpin, Ally Bright, Jacob Hagestuen, Sophia Magnuson, Silas Berg, Josh Carlberg, Caleb Curtiss, Anna Beneke, Taylor Ehnstrom, Ellie Michaletz,
Jeb Sanford, and Jack Kuppich.
Early Childhood Screenings Children who are three years of age by September 1st, 2016 are eligible to participate in Early Childhood Screening. Please note: Children must be screened prior to entering kindergarten. Click here for information.

The Homecoming Coronation will be Monday October 3rd
starting at 2:45 PM in the auditorium.
Ironman Competition will be Tuesday October 4th at 7:30 PM in the Old Gym - admission is $2.00 or a food shelf item
Powderpuff Football will be Wednesday October 5th
at 7:30 PM at Veterans Football Field
admission is $2.00 or a food shelf item
Pep Fest will be Friday October 7th at 2:45 PM in the New Gym
Homecoming Game against Mora will be on Friday October 7th at 7:00 PM at Veterans Football Field
Homecoming Dance is on Saturday October 8th from
8:00 PM - 11:30 PM. The dance is for all students in grades 9-12 and the admission prices is FREE this year. Just sign up in the office to get your Homecoming Bracelet.
Upcoming Events for Aitkin High School
• Fri., September 30th the Josten’s rep will be back during 4th period lunch (11am –Noon) collect orders from Jrs & Sophs for their class rings.
• Weds., October 12th the Josten’s rep will be back again to collect Graduation orders from Seniors during 4th period lunch (11am – Noon).
• Fri., September 30th Seniors must have their Graduation pictures in to Mrs. Larson, the Yearbook Advisor.
Seniors: Yearbook Photos Needed
Photos should be submitted via e-mail if possible and should be in .jpg format and at least 300 dpi. Photos should be in the vertical rather than horizontal orientation. Students that have photos with weapons may be asked to submit an alternate choice for their senior picture.
Baby photos can also be sent via email to email@example.com - .jpg and at least 300 dpi.
The senior class photo will be taken on the Court House steps on Friday October 7th at 9:00 a.m. by Duane's Photography. Order forms to purchase a class photo maybe picked up in room 309. Kids Club (Formerly EXTRA!) is our before & after school programming that offers a variety of activities for children. Kids Club is open on days when school is in session. Join us to make new friends, learn new things & have fun! More Information
Season Passes are available in the High School Office. Please use the link for the season passes form, these can be mailed in or dropped off in the High School Office with Gloria Curtiss for your season passes.
Aitkin Strength And Honor Lift-A-Thon Continues To Support Area Veterans
Yearbook Update Here is a sneak peek of the 2017 Aitkin Jr./Sr. High School yearbook cover. Details on pre-ordering your book will be available at the beginning of the school year.
This year's editorial team includes Senior editors: Angel Tellinghuisen and Taylor Crotty. Junior Editor: Vanessa Lee and Sophomore Editor: Kaija Davies. Advisor Teri Larson.
Class of 2017 - The deadline for senior portrait submission has been moved up to October 1, 2016. Please make sure you get your photos taken early to meet the earlier deadline. Also the staff is looking forward to getting your baby or childhood photo prior to the October 1 deadline.
Also remember that you can share your photos with the yearbook staff by visiting our yearbook Facebook Page at AHS-Yearbook. Photos uploaded will be considered for submission into the 2017 edition of the A-Book.
