District News and Information
Spring ECFE Classes: Register now for spring ECFE Classes. Information and registration forms can be found here.
Children who are three years of age by January 1st 2017 are eligible to participate in Early Childhood Screening. Please note: Minnesota Statute requires that all children must be screened one time prior to entering kindergarten.
Screening will occur on January 19th and 20th. See this flyer for more information as well as how to register.
Holiday Band Concert
The High School Band will
be having their holiday band concert
on Monday December 4th at 7:30 in the Auditorium.
Of our young team of 6 participants in the Regional FFA Horse Evaluation Career Development Event held at the Rocking "R" Stable just outside of Foley yesterday, we have outstanding results to report:
Our individual high: Emma Bassing "tied" for second place out of ~60 competitors.
As a team, AHS FFA members placed 5th out of 14 teams. Region #2 is able to send 6 teams to state for competition at the end of April in conjunction with the State FFA Convention. The following students were members of this team:

Veteran's Day Program
Jazz Band Clinic
45th Annual Hoop Shoot (Basketball free-throw Contest) is open to all boys and girls ages 8 (must have turned 8 by 4-1-17) through age 13. The contest is free! Mark your calendars for December 10th, registration is from noon - 1pm, with the competition starting at 1 pm sharp. The contest is being held at Forestview Middle School in Baxter. Participants will be given 25 shots, most shots made wins. First place winner at each level are eligible to complete in the Elks Central District Hoop Shoot, Elks State Hoop Shoot, Elks Regional Hoops Shoot in Iowa City, Iowa and the Elks National Hoop Shoot in Chicago, Illinois. Kids Club (Formerly EXTRA!) is our before & after school programming that offers a variety of activities for children. Kids Club is open on days when school is in session. Join us to make new friends, learn new things & have fun! More Information
