Mississippi Munch Now Open
The student run restaurant will be open Tuesdays-Fridays from 11:15 to 12:30. Stop in for a great meal. The restaurant is closed if there is no school. Check out the menu
Middle School Masquerade Formal
Friday, March 31st
Entry Fee: $3
Concessions will be available
Come dressed in your best and wear your masquerade mask!
During I.S. on the Wednesday the 29th, all middle school students will have the opportunity to make a mask if they wish.

The Aitkin High School Choir will be performing the musical on Wednesday April 5th - Matinee Performance, Thursday April 6th through Saturday April 8th evening performances. You can purchase your tickets in the District Office Monday through Friday from 7:30 am - 4pm. Get your tickets early.
Speech Update On Saturday, March 18th, members of the AHS Speech Team headed North to Eveleth-Gilbert to compete in one of their final regular season meets. Bringing home another 1st place ribbon in Informative Speaking was junior Jake Fontaine!
The team will compete in Grand Rapids on March 25th, then they will begin post-season competition on March 28th.
Superintendent Search Survey All community members are encouraged take the following survey. The survey will go over what ties you have to the school/community, what strengths the school has, what challenges the new superintendent will face, along with characteristics you would like to see from the new superintendent. These answers will help build a profile of what the community/school district is seeking in the search for the new superintendent. Take the survey here (Survey Deadline: 3/31/17)
Knowledge Bowl Wins Heading to State Competition
On Thursday, March 9th the AHS Knowledge Bowl team journeyed to Staples CLC to vie for a spot at the Knowledge Bowl State Competition. The team finished 4th in the competition and will be heading to the State Competition on April 6th and 7th. Congrats!!!
Aitkin's team "BB Mountaineers" whose membership boasts the likes of Lucas Wickstrom, Eli Provost, Levi Wickstrom, Jacob Hagestuen, and Caleb Curtiss.

Passport to Kindergarten The Aitkin Children’s Center in partnership with staff from Rippleside will host a Passport to Kindergarten Class. Passport to Kindergarten is a class that children and parents attend together. During this class parents and children will participate in activities that will prepare them for the transition from early childhood into kindergarten.
